That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Review)

  • From the back of the book, "Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!"

This book also has a manga that follows all the events that go on with the book. So you have a choice between reading or having a visual novel in the form of manga. I have only read the book so I haven't gotten to enjoy the full art of all the characters. The book does have pictures of certain events and character information at the beginning of it, only visuals not stats. Satoru's journey as a slime is a very entertaining one and makes you want to keep turning pages as it goes.

I highly recommend this book/manga series to anyone who likes sci-fi/adventure stories. The book flows nicely and the events Satoru goes through are highly interesting. As a slime, you don't expect him to get too far without issue but the story plots out so well that you can't help but be in awe of what Satoru goes through. The first two volumes of the written story are out. As far as the manga is concerned, there are 5 volumes at the time this review is written. Until next time, Ugeek On!
