Thor: Ragnarok (Review)

  • The God of Thunder returns, just in time to have prophecy dreams of his world Asgard falling to ruin. He does his best to stop Ragnarok from happening but ultimately, Hela, Goddess of Death is unleashed from her prison and gets to Asgard despite Thor and Loki's attempt to stop her. During their attempt, they are cast out into the universe and land in a world called Sakaar, where Thor becomes a warrior in the Contest of Champions. Thor runs into the Hulk there and from that point on, he tries to find a way to get off Sakaar and back to Asgard to stop Hela.

The movie has good pacing and has good humor throughout. Thor and Loki are back together fighting side by side as well as with one another. There are special appearances from other heroes as well, but I won't spoil who, you will just have to see for yourself. There are several new characters introduced to us as well and everyone is likable. Hela as a villain is strong and has her own humorous moments. The fighting sequences are wonderful and I admit the fight between Hulk and Thor is the best.

This movie keeps you engaged and is quite a fun ride. I suggest seeing it in theaters. I have seen it both in 3d and regular format and both were enjoyable. It is worth the money for the theater for either version of it. So go see the movie and see for yourself what you think! Until next time, Ugeek on!
